Pam's Daily Wave...

Good Morning and Welcome to my Atlantic Life in Hatteras 😊

This morning I'm giving into my visual senses....the beach was so incredibly beautiful today, and the Flambeau wreck was quite stunning.....so lots of photos were taken!

It's on days like this that I step out of the inn, take a huge breath of the fresh, salty air and am super thankful for my life 💗

Now, I know that's when many people think, well it's okay for Pam, she lives in a beautiful century-old inn in Hatteras Village on the Outer Banks....which is true, but like many others, I have my challenges, some small and seemingly insignificant....others not so small. Please remember, when you look at any other person and instantly think they have a "perfect life", they are most likely dealing with their very own issues. I write about this topic fairly regularly as I think its super easy to "assume" that others are doing much better than you are.

For me, there are two facets to this assumption that need to be considered before you rush to envy others. The first is the one mentioned above - what you see on social media is what others "choose" to post....the great pics, the happy times, the fun....most are not likely to post that terrible photo taken on a "bad hair" day, or that they are going through a rough patch, or that they need a shoulder to cry on, which is fine, as some things are personal, and we want to keep those to ourselves. The other is that so often we are putting ourselves down by assuming that everyone else is "better" than us, when in fact, we are all incredibly unique and gifted humans, each with our own skill and talents that we bring to this world. Whilst there may be things that you are not as good at as someone else, I know for certain that there are some things that you are uniquely gifted in.....areas where you absolutely shine 🌟

Today, instead of thinking about all the areas in your life that aren't working out the way you planned and are envious of others who appear to have it all.....Why not think about the areas in your life that you are successful in....that you love....that make you smile when you think of them. We all have those, sometimes though we just need to take the time to "see" them 😊

And now.....the pics from this morning, which I hope will brighten your day. Please forgive my indulgence of so many pics, I was struggling to choose which ones to post 😉

Until Next Time...

Take care, Stay Safe and....spend a little time thinking about what's good in your life right now.....and what might be that unique and special talent that you have?

Love and Hugs,

Pam

What a glorious morning! Perfect way to start a day! i will know in just a few days :) Also, you make a valid point about our views of others based on our very limited knowledge. I don’t covet what others have but I do admire the determination and hard work it takes to achieve one’s dreams. Happiness is living & loving the journey, I suppose. Have a wonderful day!
