Pam's Daily Wave...

Hello and Welcome to the weekend from my Atlantic Life in Hatteras 😊

So, we're having a stormy Saturday...(delay in posting due to power outage - although thanks to the incredible team from Cape Hatteras Electrical Cooperative, who had power restored super quickly)

...And this morning, I really wanted to spend my "me time" at the beach, but with the winds increasing by the hour, I realized it would be futile to try and write in my journal, sitting on the beach whilst receiving my dermabrasion facial, courtesy of the rather powerful Southerly winds - My other option was to drive to Ramp 49 and have my coffee and journal time sheltered somewhat in Jake (my Jeep).....Guess which one I chose 😄

My view from Jake...

Sitting in the back of Jake with the rear door open (one of the many reasons I'm a Jeep girl) was absolutely magnificent - watching the tumultuous surf, listening as the massive waves crashed on the shore and the 50mph wind gusts swirled around me, thrilled my senses!

My wild Atlantic

A rather cloudy Ramp 49

My pelicans...

My heart soared with my pelicans, as they swooped and glided, reminding me of a poem I had written:

"Sometimes I feel like a small bird, flying against a mighty wind....Struggling

Other times, I'm flying along at an incredible speed, carried by the strong and powerful

winds.....Adrenaline surges

Or I'm gliding on the warm gulf stream breezes, across the powerful Atlantic Ocean waves....Exhilarated

...and then there are the times, that I'm just happy to let the air lift me softly, hold me gently, caress my skin, as I drift.....without a care....Loved 🥰"

Wouldn't it have made much more sense to stay in the relative calmness of my century old inn this morning, snuggled up in a comfy chair with a big mug of coffee, whilst the wild winds whipped around the building?

Probably....but my heart, my mind, and my senses all thanked me for my little morning adventure💗

Until Next Time...

Take care, Stay Safe and....take a break -and ensure you have some "me time", you've most definitely earned it!

Love and Hugs,

Pam

PS. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the incredible people of the Ukraine 🙏
